My experience with Online learning

I have actually really enjoyed online learning. It allows me to be able to do thinks at my own pace witch I appreciated. Although I will say with time management some times I struggle. I will also say that I prefer Hybrid learning to being completely on line because I work full time to be able to go to school so if I can have some in person classes and some classes that are online I can have a better work life balance. I think I really need to improve on my time management because that is the one place I struggle with in, in person classes and in online learning classes.

Why I decided to study digital design

 I started learning about computers when I was in middle school. I went to a stem school (Science, Technology, engineering and mathematics)  and never really connected with math science or engineering. But immediately clicked with coding and web design. And throughout middle school I made and coated my own websites. But I wanted to continue to play into the fun creative side of web design rather than just the impressive text side of web design. Unfortunately my school offered very limited art programs that connected with computers. Until one day they offered a game design course. I took all three courses that the school had to offer. The final course being a semester long self paced video game project. I immediately fell in love with video game design as it was the right amount of art mixed with the right amount of technology. I went on to speak at the Douglas county school board, and talked about the ways that we don’t even realize art and creativity affects technology. The minute I took my first video game design course I knew I wanted to learn more about UX and UI design. My dream job would be to be able to develop video games. But I have a long way to go until I can make that happen. Digital design has such an important part in this world and people don’t even know it. I was so excited when I found out that University of Colorado Denver had a digital design program. I’m super excited to get to learn more about digital design and all that goes into the process. I’m especially excited for the interactive media course because I love getting to design webpages and I think it’ll be a great opportunity to improve my skills and learn some new ones.
